Service provider details
Jacek Wlodarczyk, a self-employed person (OSVČ) registered in the Czech Republic.
Address: Poličanská 1487, 190 16 Praha 9 — Újezd nad Lesy, Czech Republic. IČO: 08298645. DIČ: CZ683967690.
Contact for all matters concerning the Service, the contract, complaints and personal data: [email protected].
Services offered
The Service presents a catalogue of Courses on application security and terminal work, and allows free signup to a waiting list.
Courses are digital content delivered in the browser only. No downloadable files are sent, no physical medium is provided, and no additional software installation is required.
Some materials — the demonstrations and the first-test worksheet — are available free of charge, without signup and without creating an account.
As at the publication of these Terms, Course sales have not yet opened. Prices shown in the Service are planned prices and are labelled as such.
Technical requirements
Using the Service and the Courses requires: a device with internet access, an up-to-date web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge in a version supported by its vendor) and JavaScript enabled.
A screen resolution of at least 1280 × 720 is recommended, along with a connection fast enough to load interactive materials smoothly.
The User does not need to install Docker, a virtual machine, a VPN or any paid third-party tools. The exercise environments run in the browser.
The User is prohibited from supplying unlawful content.
Formation of the contract
Joining the waiting list happens by providing an email address, ticking the consent box and confirming the address via the link sent by email (double opt-in). Signing up is free and creates no obligation to buy.
The contract for the supply of digital content is concluded when Paddle confirms the order after payment. Until that moment the User may abandon the purchase with no consequences.
The counterparty to the sale is Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record. The service provider is responsible for the content and operation of the Course and for substantive support.
Confirmation of the contract together with the purchase document is sent to the email address given with the order.
Prices and payment
Prices shown in the Service are gross prices in Polish zloty and include applicable taxes.
Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd as Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller towards the buyer, issues the sales document and accounts for the VAT applicable in the buyer's country.
Available payment methods are shown during checkout. The service provider does not store payment card data — it is handled solely by Paddle.
The invoice or receipt is issued by Paddle and made available to the buyer electronically.
Access to digital content
Access to the Course is activated promptly after payment is confirmed, and no later than within 24 hours.
Access is tied to the email address given at purchase and is intended for the personal use of one person. Access may not be shared or transferred to another person.
The access period is stated on the Course page. After it ends the materials cease to be available, unless the Course description states otherwise.
The service provider may update Course materials during the access period. Updates do not reduce the scope of the access purchased.
Licence and copyright
All Course materials — texts, recordings, labs, exercise code and graphics — are protected by copyright and remain the property of the service provider or its licensors.
A purchase in the Service grants a personal licence: a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for one natural person to use the materials for their own educational purposes for the access period. A business may also buy a personal licence, giving its tax or VAT number, provided that the Training is used by one person whose email address was given at purchase.
Training more than one person, assigning or transferring access between employees or contractors, progress reports for an organisation, and running the Training in an organisation's e-learning system require a business licence. A business licence is granted on the basis of an individual offer and terms agreed with the Service Provider ([email protected]). These Terms apply to it to the extent that the agreed terms do not provide otherwise.
Sharing access with third parties, making the materials publicly available, copying them, reselling them or using them to run your own training is prohibited without the service provider's written consent.
The techniques described in the Courses are solely for learning and for tests run on your own systems or with the system owner's explicit permission. Using them against someone else's infrastructure without authorisation is unlawful and is the User's sole responsibility.
Right of withdrawal
A Consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU and its implementing provisions.
The detailed rules, the exceptions applying to digital content and how to submit a statement are described in the Refunds and complaints document.
Complaints
Complaints about the operation of the Service or a Course can be submitted to [email protected].
A complaint should include the email address used at purchase, the Course name and a description of the problem. A reply is given within 14 days of receiving the request.
Complaints about payments, invoices and refunds are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record; a request may also be submitted directly to the service provider, who will pass it on.
Personal data
The data controller is Jacek Wlodarczyk. The processing rules are described in the Privacy policy available in the Service.
Providing an email address when joining the waiting list is voluntary but necessary in order to send information about the Course launch.
Changes to these Terms
The service provider may change these Terms for important reasons: changes in law, changes to the scope or manner of the services, a change of payment provider, or security considerations.
The service provider announces changes in the Service and — for people on the waiting list — by email, at least 14 days in advance.
Contracts concluded before a change takes effect are governed by the Terms in force on the date the contract was concluded.
Final provisions
The contract is governed by Czech law as the law of the service provider's establishment. This choice of law does not deprive a Consumer of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence — for consumers in Poland, in particular consumer-protection provisions.
A Consumer may use the EU online dispute resolution platform (ODR) available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by Czech law and the applicable law of the European Union.
These Terms take effect on the date of their publication in the Service.
